Prof. Zhenyu Zhang has returned to work full time at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) starting in January 2011.

Earlier in 2008, while working as Distinguished Research Scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory & JIAM Chair of Excellence professor at the University of Tennessee in the US, Prof. Zhang and Prof. Jianguo Hou, president of USTC, proposed to co-found the International Center for Quantum Design of Functional Materials (ICQD). After over two years of transition, Prof. Zhang has returned fulltime to more effectively promote the scientific visions of ICQD.
