Brief Bio of the Speaker

Feng Miao is a Professor of Physics at Nanjing University and a Principal Investigator at Nanjing National Laboratory of Microstructures. He received the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of California, Riverside, United States, in 2009. He worked with HP Labs, Palo Alto, until he joined in Nanjing University in 2012, with China's "Thousand Youth Talents Plan". He is the principle scientist of a National Key Basic Research Program of China (subject for young scientists). His research group is now focused on the low temperature electron transport, opto-electrical and electro-mechanical properties of 2D Van Der Waals materials, as well as their applications on functional electronic devices including information storage and logic computation. He published over 30 technical papers (with over 5700 citations) and is the holder of 4 granted and 4 pending US patents.
