The Center is very pleased to announce an upcoming two-day workshop in Beijing entitled ‘The World of Hall Physics’. The event is the first edition of the ‘ICQM-ICQD-ICQS’ joint workshop series. It will be hosted by International Center for Quantum Materials (ICQM) at Peking University on June 21-22.
The joint event is designed to better involve the three international centers for physics research in China, namely ICQD (International Center for Quantum Design of Functional Materials), ICQM and ICQS (International Center for Quantum Structures at Chinese Academy of Sciences), in the effort to encourage communication across related fields and to push for research. It is the first time to bring together the members of three research entities in a semi-formal setting. The workshop will cover a whole range of exciting topics related to Hall physics: integer and fractional quantum Hall effects, anomalous and Spin Hall effects, optical, phononic and magnonic Hall effects, as well as transport phenomena in topological insulators.
